A Non-Profit Organization in Tennessee

Community Initiative Inc. (CI) is a 509 (a) public, non-profit economic research and development foundation based in Tennessee. We have been in business since 2005. We revive rural America through economic growth.

What We Do

Community Initiative Inc. was created to assist with the economic rebirth of the underserved and depressed communities in rural America. We’re an R&D foundation and research the economic opportunities available to rural America and then assist with facilitating the development of those opportunities. Our team works with the USDA and other government agencies, primarily under the established Community Facilities and Rural Development programs. We identify economic opportunities in rural America and help bridge the financial gap between what businesses can afford versus the actual financial requirements.

How We Do It

Community Initiative Inc. is recognized by the USDA and has established itself as an eligible entity qualified to apply for financial assistance under the Community Facilities Program. This eligibility enables us to work hand-in-hand with the USDA and other government agencies to develop and secure project approval and guaranteed loans and other funding entitlements. We have the unique capability of partnering with private sector businesses and bring public sector funding and assistance to the light of rural economic development opportunities.
